CONROE, Texas -- CCSI has opened a new InnerGard (internal fusion bonded epoxy coating) plant in New Iberia, Louisiana.

An initial project was coated at the new InnerGard plant and installed in the Gulf of Mexico in December 2007. A second project has been coated and will soon also be installed at a depth of over 8,000 ft (2,438 m) in the Gulf.

"Our innovative work with InnerGard presents a tremendous potential contribution to the future of the oil and gas industry," says Gary Brown, CCSI president. "We believe this is an important breakthrough. As pipelines age and their integrity is put to the test, we have been working hard to address this issue of aging pipelines."
