Keppel wins S$990 million construction deal from Mærsk

Keppel FELS Ltd. secured contracts worth over S$990 million from A.P. Moller – Mærsk A/S to build four CJ 50-design jackups from Marine Structure Consultants.

Keppel FELS Ltd. secured contracts worth over S$990 million from A.P. Moller – Mærsk A/S to build four CJ 50-design jackups from Marine Structure Consultants. The rigs can operate in water depths of up to 350 ft, and drill high-pressure wells of down to 30,000 ft.

The first rig is scheduled for completion in 4Q 2007. The other three rigs will be delivered consecutively at six-month intervals thereafter.

"This is the largest series of jackup contracts that Keppel FELS has secured from a customer at any one time," said Choo Chiau Beng, chairman and CEO of Keppel O&M.
