LONDON – Azinor Catalyst has committed to drill two exploratory wells in the UK central North Sea next year, as part of a planned three-well campaign.
The company has signed a letter of intent with Maersk Drilling to manage the campaign under the latter’s master alliance agreement with Seapulse. Catalyst expects to finalize a fully integrated agreement for Maersk Drilling to provide end-to-end drilling services for all three wells soon.
In addition, the company has signed farm-out agreements for drilling of the Boaz and Hinson wells and talks continue on the other well on the Goose prospect.
Catalyst has defined and de-risked all three targets using broadband seismic data and quantitative geoscience techniques. It estimates potential combined resources of 495 MMboe.
