HOUSTONEni México has awarded McDermott an EPC contract to provide an unmanned wellhead platform (WHP1) for the Amoca field development in block 1, 18 mi (30 km) offshore Dos Bocas in southeast Mexico.

McDermott will manage the program from its engineering center and fabrication yard in Altamira. Previously the company supplied two drilling templates for Amoca and Eni’s Mitzon field.

The 2,924-ton (2,653-metric ton) four-legged jacket and piles will support a 1,785-ton (1,620-metric ton) four-deck topsides and will be installed in a water depth of 93 ft (28 m). Produced fluids will be exported to an FPSO.

Jacket and piles are due to be loaded out by the end of the year, with the deck structure to follow by mid-2020.

McDermott will also be responsible for hook-up, commissioning and start-up of eight producer and four water injector wells.

Elsewhere, the company said in a results statement that it had substantially completed offshore work for the Saudi Aramco LTA II project, with only the Berri hook-up campaign remaining.

As forAramco’s offshore Safaniya projects, Phase 5 engineering and long-lead procurement are nearly finished while marine and hook-up activities have started on Phase 6.

A more recent award wasMarjan TP10, which covers design, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing and pre-commissioning of the TP-10 tie-in platform, six gas-lift topsides modules and associated pipeline and subsea cables.

Initial engineering is under way and McDermott is currently ordering long-lead procurement items.

Front-end engineering design has begun for Woodside’s floating production unit for theScarborough gas field development offshore Western Australia, the company added.
