Aker BP has awarded frame agreements to three platform supply vessel contractors to support its operations offshore Norway.

LYSAKER, NorwayAker BP has awarded frame agreements to three platform supply vessel contractors to support its operations offshore Norway.

Simon Møkster Shipping, Eidesvik Offshore, andSolstad Offshore have each signed agreements that run for three years firm, with two optional extension periods.

Per Harald Kongelf, senior vice president Improvement at Aker BP, said: “We will together with the three suppliers work towards a more integrated concept involving the entire chain of offshore logistics…

“The establishment of these frame agreements is the first step towards a strategic partnership with selected suppliers, with the potential to evolve into a future alliance concept.”

The company and its contractors will develop commercial compensation models, based upon performance-driven KPIs.

Aker BP added that its priority is the safe and reliable transportation of cargo to the offshore facilities.
