TopSeis imaging extending to Barents Sea Castberg area

MASSY, France – CGG and TGS will co-operate on the industry-funded Greater Castberg TopSeis survey, due to start shooting in the Norwegian Barents Sea this spring.

The 5,000-sq km (1,930-sq mi) campaign will employ the latest developments ofCGG’s TopSeis imaging technology.

The survey will take in the area around theJohan Castberg oilfield development, spanning existing and newly issued licenses and some open acreage, targeting various play models in multiple geological layers.

Final product delivery should follow in late 2020.
