ALAMEDA, California – Herbert-ABS Software Solutions LLC has introduced HECSTAB offshore stability evaluation software, designed to help naval architects assess multiple design options for non-ship shaped offshore assets.

Features include a user interface with improved 3D and 2D viewports.

According to the company’s president Hendrik Bruhns, the software allows users to create multiple models of offshore assets and quickly analyze the stability impact of design changes, and to set up, run, and generate results for a wide range of batch analyses, including those required for offshore regulatory evaluations.

HECSTAB provides a “free twist” variable heeling axis stability calculation method, batch tools for running stability evaluations on regulatory intact and damaged conditions, the ability to develop V-Curves from a range of loading conditions, and integration with ABS Wind software.

A Python scripting interface enables architects to customize or create new templates to support required analyses.
