Gabon FPSO offloads first oil cargo

Panoro Energy says the first cargo of oil from the Dussafu Marin concession offshore Gabon has been offloaded from the FPSO BW Adolo.

OSLO, NorwayPanoro Energy says the first cargo of oil from the Dussafu Marin concession offshore Gabon has been offloaded from the FPSOBW Adolo.

In total 550,000 bbl of oil were transferred to a tanker which will transport the crude oil to a refinery.

Panoro has an 8.333% interest in the permit, operated by BW Offshore.

The FPSO is installed on theTortue field, one of five discoveries in the license. It is a converted VLCC with an oil storage capacity of up to 1.35 MMbbl and a production capacity of up to 40,000 b/d.

It has undergone an increased life extension scope to allow for an extended production profile, based on positive reserve developments, according to BW Offshore.
