    Claxton to support Rowan Viking for offshore Norway wells

    MOL Norge has contracted Claxton to assist its first exploration drilling program as operator on the Norwegian continental shelf.

    GREAT YARMOUTH, UK – MOL Norge has contracted Claxton to assist its first exploration drilling program as operator on the Norwegian continental shelf.

    The award is through Ross Offshore Well Management AS, which Claxton will support with equipment delivery.

    Starting next April, the jackupRowan Viking will drill two firm wells, with options for two more, with the program due to last 255 days.

    In addition, Claxton is supporting MOL’s Oppdal–Driva exploration well, which is due to start soon.
