HILCHENBACH, Germany – Eisenbau Krämer (EBK), a specialist in longitudinally welded large diameter steel pipe, will provide around 30 km (18.6 mi) of metallurgically-bonded clad pipe for an unnamed project in the Middle East.

The scope will include corrosion resistant alloy (CRA) line pipe for offshore and onshore applications, and the supply of ancillary items, including hot induction bends, anti-corrosion and concrete weight coatings.

EBK’s facilities in Dahlbruch, Germany, will manufacture the clad pipes. The company will provide DNV OSF101 steel grade 450 metallurgically-bonded clad pipe in 32-in. and 24-in. diameters, with CRA 625 and 825.

Using its patented Impander technology, the company claims it will also provide superior dimensional control of the finished pipes, which should lead to efficiencies during construction of the pipeline.
