STAVANGER, Norway – First components are being loaded out for the Dogger Bank offshore wind project in the UK southern North Sea, Equinor reported in its latest results statement.

Full commercial production for the first phase, Dogger Bank, should follow during third-quarter 2024.

Equinor’s power production from renewable energy sources reached 345 GWh during the quarter, up from 325 GWh in the corresponding period in 2022, mainly due to production from the floating wind farm Hywind Tampen in the Norwegian North Sea and new solar plants in Poland.

The company completed seven exploration wells in the second quarter, three of which brought commercial discoveries, with 10 wells still drilling at the quarter end.
