ABERDEEN, UK  PD&MS Group has a three-year framework agreement to support SSE Renewables on the 1,075-MW Seagreen wind farm offshore Angus, eastern Scotland.

This is claimed to be the world’s deepest-fixed bottom offshore wind development to date. Seagreen is a joint venture between TotalEnergies and SSE Renewables, which is leading the construction and operational phases.

PD&MS’ balance of plant statutory inspection framework agreement includes extension options of up to two years.

The work scope covers topside statutory inspections on Seagreen’s power generating equipment, which connects to the grid, ensuring it remains safe, compliant and operational; and deploying inspection technicians to work with Seagreen’s team on all the wind turbine generators and the offshore substation, with the primary focus being the jacket foundations and transition pieces.

In addition, PD&MS will support inspections onshore at Tealing Power Station and the Montrose operations and maintenance base.
