Azule Energy makes Oligocene gas find offshore Angola

Azule Energy and its partners have discovered gas in the Lower Congo Basin offshore Angola, according to a July 11 company press release.

The Gajajeira-01 exploration well started drilling on April 1 in 95 m water depth, 60 km offshore.

It encountered gas- and condensate-bearing sandstones in the LO100 Lower Oligocene target.
