Husky Energy is increasing its 2010 capital expenditure program and production guidance to $3.1 billion, an increase of 20% over 2009.
Canada’s Federal and Provincial Governments have approved Hibernia Management and Development’s (HMDC) Development Plan application for the AA block. The block is estimated to contain 48 MMbbl of oil.
Husky has completed maintenance work on the FPSO SeaRose, and operations on the White Rose field satellite development are proceeding on schedule, according to company president and CEO John C.S. Lau.
The North Amethyst satellite development is continuing on schedule with production expected to come on stream in late 2009/early 2010, according to Husky Energy.
