Production begins from Cormorant field well

ABU DHABI -- A sidetrack from the CN30 well on the Cormorant field has started production, according to TAQA Bratani. The well is expected to produce around 10,000 boe/d.

The new well is part of the company’s 2009/2010 drilling program, which includes further platform in-fill drilling and mobile drilling for subsea development wells. The company has also acquired seismic on all its northern North Sea acreage and is identifying further development targets.
