ACCRA, Ghana – Ownership of the offshore area containing the recently reported Dzata 1 discovery is in dispute between Ghana and the Ivory Coast, according to a report by Dow Jones.

The maritime border between the two countries is not fixed formally, Dow reports the Ghana Lands and Natural Resources Minster Collins Dauda as saying, but the median line had been respected for years.

Dauda continued to say that Ghana probably would establish a commission to negotiate with Ivory Coast.
