LONDON -- Barclays Natural Resource Investments (BNRI) team, Richard Hall, and Rory Edwards have formed Nio Petroleum, a new oil and gas development company focused on southeast Asia.

According to the partners, Nio Petroleum seeks to acquire undeveloped discoveries, marginal fields, and late-life assets to add value through existing and new technologies.

“There are opportunities in the market that we have identified and are keen to exploit,” says Edwards, COO. “The provision of capital to do so in this economic climate is rare indeed. We are looking forward to building Nio Petroleum together with BNRI.”
