Seismic coming to offshore Ecuador

OSLO, Norway -- Empresa Estatal de Exploratión y Producción de Petróleo del Ecuador has awarded SCAN Geophysical ASA a Letter of Intent for a 2D seismic program offshore Ecuador.

The program will cover most of the Ecuadorian coast, but will focus on Esmeraldas, Manabí, Guayas, and Santa Elena provinces with some 10,000 km (6,214 mi) of 2D data acquisition.

SCAN says it will use the M/V SCAN Stigandi for the program.
