PERTH, Australia -- Cooper Energy has awarded Fugro a contract to obtain a seafloor core from the Fuchsia-1 well in the Gulf of Hammamet, offshore Tunisia.

Seafloor coring evaluates the type and condition of seafloor sediments. The information will help assess the penetration of jackup legs into the seafloor.

Work is scheduled to begin on Nov. 30, with results expected in December.
