OIEC set to launch South Pars drilling phase

TEHRAN -- Iranian group Oil Industries’ Engineering & Construction (OIEC) plans to draw up a list of potential contractors to provide service for drilling oil and gas wells in the Persian Gulf.

According to Iran’s Petroenergy Information Network (Shana), OIEC’s program relates to the phase 20 development of the South Pars field, where it is lining up one appraisal well and 10 development wells.

Qualifying contractors must be of sound financial status, with comprehensive organizational ability and the capability to maximize Iranian content.
