PGS unveils new seismic vessel

OSLO -- PGS has named its new 22-streamer seismic vessel, Ramform Sterling. According to the company, Ranform Sterling is the most sophisticated vessel in the seismic industry. The vessel is 16 m (52 ft) longer than the previous class Ramforms, has significantly higher acquisition and transit speed, 25% longer endurance, and 60% higher production capacity.

It features the world's first roll compensated helideck, steerable sources, dual workboat capacity, and unique gear handling systems. The vessel has a capacity of 22 streamers at 8 km (5 mi) length.
