Summary

In May 2023, SLB, Rockwell Automation Inc., Sensia LLC and Cognite announced a collaboration that will accelerate the evolution of the offshore industry’s floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) facilities through digital solutions to improve the reliability, availability, safety and efficiency of these critical  facilities—all while lowering the carbon footprint of their offshore operations.

In this webchat, Matt Mohajer from SLB and Greg Trostel from Rockwell Automation will give un update on the achievements and lessons learned  of the coalition so far and discuss the unique challenges in this effort.  The discussion will also look forward into 2024, both from an FPSO market standpoint and with respect to the goals and top priorities for the coalition, as it continues to evolve performance in this market.

Mahyar (Matt) Mohajer is the digital program manager for SLB Production Systems Division, a position he assumed in July 2020. Since joining SLB in 2006, Matt has held several technical, sales, marketing, and management positions in Canada, UK, Norway, and USA. Currently, he is responsible for defining and executing the Production Systems digital strategy. His interests include the digital transformation and green journey of the energy industry. 

He holds a BSc degree in chemical engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran (2003), MSc degree in chemical engineering from the University of Calgary in Canada (2006), and an executive MBA from SDA Bocconi in Italy (2015). 

 

Greg Trostel
Global Business Development Manager
Rockwell Automation

Greg is the global business development manager for floating production at Rockwell Automation.

 

His energy career began with a major EPC, followed by significant time in technology and software development within the industry. He has spent the last 15 years involved with automation and digitalization technologies.

 

Greg has a Chemical Engineering degree from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Houston.
