MASSY, France — CGG has completed the eastern phase of its GeoVerse carbon storage study over the Texas and Louisiana coasts in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM) and has since embarked on the westward extension.
Both phases of the project have industry funding and are available for licensing now. Final products for the westward expansion phase should be available early next year.
The project is designed to provide an independent map-based assessment of carbon storage opportunities with a well database and web-based visualization dashboards to support users’ decisions on exploring for suitable carbon storage sites.
