Pharos outlines drilling schedule offshore Vietnam

Pharos Energy is making preparations for a six-well program at its fields offshore southern Vietnam.

At the TGT Field, appraisal well 18X should start drilling shortly, targeting prospectivity in the block’s western area. Drilling of three infill wells should get underway in late September.

At the CNV Field, planning continues for the 5X-L appraisal well on the northern part of the field, and one infill well, starting in the fourth quarter.

Reprocessing of 3D seismic over both fields should conclude by the end of this month.

Offshore eastern Vietnam, the company has obtained the government’s approval for a two-year extension to the production sharing contract for blocks 125 and 126 until Nov. 8, 2027.
