HAMILTON, Bermuda — Seadrill's current backlog of drilling contracts totals $2.2 billion, the company said in its latest review of operations.
This includes $76 million of recent contract additions for the West Neptune drillship in the US Gulf of Mexico.
The company also has secured a short-term campaign for the West Vela drillship in the Gulf with QuarterNorth Energy, which will start after the rig finishes its program for Beacon Offshore in the first half of 2024 and then transitions to Seadrill from the current third-party manager.
