Petrobras signs flowline, riser agreement

NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, UK – Petrobras has signed a four-year frame agreement with Wellstream do Brasil Industria e Servicos Ltda. to procure 2½ to 9 ½ in. (6.35 to 25 cm) flowlines and risers between 2009 and 2012 at a value of more than £600 million ($1.1 billion).

This agreement covers standard structures developed for existing fields in water depths up to 2,000 m (6,562 ft). Supply of flexible risers and flowlines for deeper water and specialized projects would represent additional volumes over and above those envisaged by the frame agreement.
