Aker Solutions secures deck machinery contracts

ARENDAL, Norway -- Aker Solutions subsidiary, Aker Pusnes AS, received six contracts from Samsung Heavy Industries. Co. Ltd. for deck machinery for 17 ships.
The total value of the contracts for Aker Solutions is approximately NOK 70 million ($13.8 million). Aker Solutions deck machinery order intake for 2008 totals NOK 300 million ($59.2 million).
Aker Solutions also has recently secured a contract for delivery of deck machinery for 10 ships being built at the newly established shipyard, Atlantico Sul in Suape, Brazil.
