PSTM data processing gets boost

CALGARY, Alberta – Acceleware Corp. plans to release AxKTM application library directed at garnering the performance benefits of graphic processor units in 3D Pre-Stack Time Migration processing.
AxKTM is a software toolkit that lets commercial seismic processing program developers to integrate with the Acceleware platform to speed processing.
"The use of GPUs for running large seismic migrations enables users to significantly consolidate massive amounts of processing power while reducing the need for additional infrastructure upgrades," says Wilf Kruggel, director, Techco Geophysical Services Ltd.
