Petrobras wants 146 vessels

RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras is looking for 146 vessels to support offshore exploration and production operations through 2014, say reports quoting Jose Sergio Gabrielli, president.

The vessel total consists of 64 platform supply, 54 large anchor handlers, 18 spill response, and 10 tow vessels.

Currently, 24 of the vessels are on order. Bid rules call for up to 80% of the vessels' contents to be made in Brazil.
