Petrobras contracts environmental study
Offshore staff
FAIRFAX, Virginia – Petrobras has contracted ICF International for environmental studies to support oil and gas exploration and production licensing off São Paulo and in the Foz do Amazonas and Pará-Maranhão basins offshore at the mouth of the Amazon River.
The contracts totaling $1.5 million are scheduled to take about three years. ICF will conduct Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Viability studies into potential impacts to the marine environment as well as the coast and coastal communities that may be affected by the exploration and production activities.
