Agip modifies Kashagan gas treatment

Offshore staff

ALMATY, Kazakhstan -- Agip KCO has contracted Petrofac for a fourth sales gas compressor train for the gas and LPG plant under construction for the Kashagan development in the Caspian Sea.

The $105-million lump-sum award, with a $10 million optional scope, also involves de-bottlenecking services related to tranches one and two of the gas treatment plant.

This work is necessary to accommodate additional gas associated with production from Kashagan's third oil train. Petrifac will perform these services as an amendment to its existing contract for the gas treatment plant.
