Blocks off China available for foreign cooperation

BEIJING, China -- There are 17 blocks offshore China covering an area of 45,817 sq km (17,690 sq mi) available for cooperation between China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) and foreign companies in 2008, the company says.
Thirteen blocks are in the east of South China Sea, and four blocks are in the west of South China Sea.
