Heerema Hartlepool wins Buzzard contract

STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Nexen Petroleum has awarded Heerema Hartlepool a contract for the fabrication of the production sweetening deck and bridge for the Nexen Buzzard oil field in the UK North Sea.
The deck has three levels with a length of 60 m (197 ft), a width of 36 m (118 ft), and an overall height of 42 m (138 ft). The bridge will connect the new facility to the existing Buzzard complex. Fabrication work will start in June, with load-out of the deck scheduled for March 2010.
