SKF Asset Management Service has developed a reliability data management and reporting solution called Results Reporter. It provides information transparency to operators regardless of location and enables them to make better decisions and improve the reliability of process equipment.

The Results Reporter system loop is accessible over the internet.

With this system, reliability data can be analyzed in a variety of ways and presented in-depth or in summary form. The system produces uniform, easy-to-read graphs, charts, and reports with just a few keystrokes, allowing engineers to optimize their time. SKF Results Reporter is particularly suited to companies with personnel and assets in remote locations because it enables users to access the system over the internet.

The system, already on more than 65 platforms in the North Sea, is available in modular packages, from a ground level reporting tool to a fully-enabled web portal data mining and analysis package.

“Although Results Reporter was developed to meet the needs of the North Sea oil and gas industry, it can be used in any industry,” says Chris Fryer, SKF’s Condition Monitoring Center manager.

Results Reporter can identify specific problem areas and opportunities for improvement by use of Mean Time Between Exception fault summary machinery template analysis and percent exceptions by condition monitoring technique. Additional reports include detailed cost analysis, cost analysis summary, and compliance reporting.

“With increasing adoption of intelligent systems, the pervasiveness of data overload is making it increasingly difficult for operators to determine its significance impeding productivity,” says Wil Chin, research director of ARC Advisory Group. “Solutions like SKF’s Results Reporter make sense out of reams of data and provide recommendations in practical terms that can help enterprises resolve problems while continuously maintaining a knowledgeable workforce.”
