OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Geo-Services, Spectrum, and Schlumberger have agreed to collaborate on acquisition of 80,000-100,000 km (49,710-62,137 mi) of long-offset 2D data covering what the group says will be all major hydrocarbon provinces offshore Mexico.

The coverage includes areas currently on offer forMexico’s Round 1 in the Perdido fold belt, Mexican ridges province, Campeche deepwater basin, and will also provide seamless coverage across the Yucatan platform tying to Spectrum’s Big Wave program in the eastern US Gulf of Mexico.

PGS MultiClient Mexico Well Tie program, which started in mid-May, will be included in this collaboration. Two GeoStreamer vessels have acquired more than 10,000 line km with fasttrack products available as part of this program.

Spectrum and Schlumberger began operations in early June with a third vessel, and an additional vessel is en route to commence operations early this month.
