HOUSTON – PEMEX has awarded ProSep a contract to provide ProBlend mixers to blend two crude oil process streams on a platform in the Gulf of Mexico.
ProSep said ProBlend on-board the platform – ProSep’s fifth such project for PEMEX – will reduce consumption of the diluent or lighter density stream, generating opex savings by reducing the pumping power required to transport both the diluent and product streams.
ProSep also said the technology will also benefit capex by saving on the size and weight of downstream processes required for crude treatment.
