Offshore staff
HOUSTON – Technip has received a contract from Chevron North America Exploration and Production Co. for the decommissioning of the brownfield development and installation of new subsea equipment supporting a floating production system. The project is located in Mississsippi Canyon, Gulf of Mexico, in a water depth of about 6,562 ft (2,000 m).
The project scope includes:
· Project management and engineering
· De-commissioning of existing equipment including manifold, jumpers and flying leads
· Fabrication and installation of 5 mi (8.8 km) of steel lazy wave riser, flowline and pipeline end terminations
· Installation of 5 mi (8.8 km) gas lift umbilical, replacement manifold, and associated hardware
· Fabrication and installation of manifold foundation and seven jumpers
· Pre-commissioning and testing.
Technip's operating center in Houston will perform the overall project management. The infield flowline and riser will be welded at the group’s spoolbase in Mobile, Alabama. The offshore installation is expected to be performed in the second half of 2016 by vessels from Technip’s fleet. TheDeep Blue, ultra-deepwater pipelay and subsea construction vessel will install the steel lazy wave riser, flowline, and gas lift umbilical, and the Global 1200, will install the manifold and foundation.
