LONDON – CGG Services has completed a 1,110-sq km (425-sq mi) 3D seismic survey over part of the Ambilobe block offshore Madagascar.

According to operator Sterling Energy (AIM: SEY), processing of the data will begin soon to a pre-stack depth migration cube, with intermediary products likely to be available during the second half of 2015.

Final processing should be completed in 1Q 2016.

The Ambilobe production-sharing contract, awarded in 2004, is in Phase 2 of the exploration period.

Pura Vida farmed into 50% of the PSC in late 2013, and is likely to carry Sterling’s costs for the survey.
