Offshore staff
HOUSTON– The US offshore rig count by Baker Hughes Inc. shows an increase of one rig over the prior week. The total is 28 now, but this number is 27 below the count a year ago.
Thetotal US rig count reached 859, or two more than the prior week. The total is 1,873, or 1,014 fewer than last year at this time.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count is down one to total 135, or 101 fewer than last year’s 236 rigs.
