    NPD sanctions E.ON wildcat offshore mid-Norway

    The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has authorized E.ON E&P Norge to drill an exploration well in the Norwegian Sea.

    OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has authorized E.ON E&P Norge to drill an exploration well in the Norwegian Sea.

    The semisubmersibleBorgland Dolphin will drill well 6507/3-11 S, the first on license PL 650 which was awarded under Norway’s APA 2011 licensing round.

    E.ON’s partner is Statoil Petroleum.
