SINGAPORE– Mirach Energy’s associated company CPHL Cambodia (CPHLC) has signed a project cooperation agreement for block D offshore Cambodia.

The other parties are two subsidiaries of Shenzhen-listed Landocean Energy Services: PST Service Corp. (PST) and Chengdu Western Union Petro Engineering Technology Co.

In partnership with CPHLC they plan three exploratory wells on the block, with one well drilled first prior to refining the plan and location for the subsequent two wells.

PST and UP will work on a comprehensive evaluation of the block, well location optimization, drilling engineering design and materials acquisition. CPHLC will work to secure approvals from the local authorities for the drilling operations.

Mirach is operator of the block. Since 2013 it has been negotiating with the Cambodian General Department of Petroleum on the exploration drilling program and timeline.

It recently secured approval for its environmental impact assessment report.
