SPE honors Weatherford VP

Weatherford International’s Bill Lane has received the Society of Petroleum Engineers Gulf Coast Regional Production and Operations Award for his outstanding contributions to SPE and dedicated service to the Gulf Coast region.

HOUSTONWeatherford International’s Bill Lane, vice president of Emerging Technologies for Artificial Lift, has received the Society of Petroleum Engineers Gulf Coast Regional Production and Operations Award for his outstanding contributions to SPE and dedicated service to the Gulf Coast region.

Lane was honored at the 2015 SPE Gulf Coast Section Awards on May 21 at the Norris Center in Houston.

Lane has been withWeatherford and its predecessors for more than 20 years in various executive positions, and his current duties include evaluating emerging artificial lift technologies; researching oil and gas applications from a production standpoint; collaborating in technical publications; representing the artificial lift team on technology issues; and providing content for and lecturing on artificial lift.  Lane is also a member of the Weatherford Unconventional Resources Team.
