GENOVA, Italy–RINA has acquired QIC. QIC will maintain its name and be a RINA group company.
RINA said the acquisition reflects its strategy of growing by acquiring companies with complementary expertise and access to new markets. QIC is Houston based and offers potential for the Italy-based RINA.
At the same time, QIC will be able to widen the range of services offered and expand into areas where RINA is already active as a certification and classification society.
RINA is a multi-national group which offers verification, certification, conformity assessment, marine classification, environmental enhancement, product testing, site and vendor supervision, training, and engineering consultancy across a range of industries.
QIC is a testing, inspection, and certification company serving operators and manufacturers in the energy industry.
