    Lundin to resume appraisal of Morskaya in Caspian Sea

    Rosnedra, the Russian licensing authority, has issued a production license for the Morskaya field within the Lagansky block in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.

    STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Rosnedra, the Russian licensing authority, has issued a production license for the Morskaya field within the Lagansky block in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.

    LLC Petroresurs, a consortium between Lundin Petroleum and Gunvor Group, are the partners in the 50-sq km (19.3-sq mi) license which is valid until 2035.

    According to Lundin,Morskaya holds resources of 175 MMboe.

    Ashley Heppenstall, president and CEO, said the partners now plan a comprehensive appraisal program.
