Offshore staff
TOKYO– Inpex has first oil from the Apache-operated Coniston field offshore Western Australia.
Oil from Coniston is processed and stored at the Van Gogh field FPSO 6 km (4 mi) distant. The first year production rate is anticipated at 18,000 b/d.
Coniston covers 45 sq km (17 sq mi) over blocksWA-35-L and WA-55-L in 380 m (1,247 ft) of water.
Apache owns a participating interest of 52.501% in the Coniston oil field project. Inpex holds the remaining 47.499%.
