Amec Foster Wheeler to deliver Forties pipeline operations support

BP has awarded Amec Foster Wheeler a £50 million-plus ($74-million) contract to provide operations, maintenance, and project support for the Forties pipeline system in the UK North Sea.

ABERDEEN, UK – BP has awarded Amec Foster Wheeler a £50 million-plus ($74-million) contract to provide operations, maintenance, and project support for the Forties pipeline system in the UK North Sea.

The scope includes the Unity offshore platform, linked to the Apache-operatedForties complex, onshore pumping stations in Aberdeenshire and Perthshire in eastern Scotland, and the Central Area Transmission System (CATS) gas reception terminal in Teesside on the northeast England coast.

The contract runs until January 2020.
