KASSEL, Germany – Wintershall says operator Total has been drilling new wells on the Carina field offshore Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, since last May. These are designed to lift the field’s production in the short term.
Total, Wintershall, and Pan American Energy continue to progress development of the nearby offshore gas fieldVega Pleyade.
Offshore Libya, Wintershall is again a partner to Total in theAl Jurf oil field. Here operations have continued despite the country’s serious security situation.
In the Dutch North Sea, Wintershall is currently working on plans for theF17 oil discovery, while in the neighboring Danish offshore sector the Danish Energy Agency has ratified the company’s development plan for the Ravn oil field. The facilities are expected to be commissioned by the end of the year.
