NEW ORLEANS– PennWell Corp. and Offshore magazine have launched the 2015 Subsea Tieback Forum & Exhibition at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The event, which is celebrating its 15th year, has become the world’s largest subsea oil and gas conference.

“New Orleans and Louisiana, with long ties to some of the most active deepwater regions in the world, is a perfect venue for the 15th annual Subsea Tieback Forum & Exhibition,” said Mark Peters, vice president and group publisher of Offshore magazine, which presents this PennWell event. “The theme ‘Subsea and all that Jazz’ honors the host city’s wholly unique history as the birthplace of jazz and Southern Louisiana as the birthplace of the offshore industry. Influencers and decision-makers from around the globe gather here this week to focus on one of the offshore industry’s most critical areas for its future growth in the world’s largest subsea conference and exhibition.”

The Subsea Tieback Forum & Exhibition has established itself as the largest global exhibition for the subsea engineering industry, with the 2014 conference attracting a record number of 2,870 attendees from 33 countries and 31 states perusing the booths of more than 220 exhibitors. Final attendance numbers for this year’s programs are expected to achieve another new record.

Prior to the conference, doors officially open with an exhibit hall networking reception from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in exhibit hall H on March 3, brought to attendees by sponsor Oil States. On that same day in room 283, level 2, the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), through sponsor Aker Solutions, will hold a one-day seminar entitled “Key Elements of Subsea Tiebacks.” Registered professional engineers earn six professional development hours from the event, held from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

As in the past, the whole of the conference is closed to media to allow for an environment that fosters open, frank discussion and participation.
