PADUA, Italy – INNOVO has delivered two INNODRIVE-600 powered reel drive systems to Saipem for the Shah Deniz 2 pipelay program in the Azeri sector of the Caspian Sea.
The equipment is designed to lay cables and flexibles, to recover risers, and to operate from a variety of vessel types and sizes. Features include a maximum capacity of 600 tons of product + reel weight, with a reel size up to 14 m (46 ft) OD.
INNODRIVE 600’s control system is monitored constantly by a programmable logic controller for reliability and system performance.
