    Thor gets first of four newbuild seismic support vessels

    YALOVA, Turkey –P/F Thor has taken delivery of the first of four newbuild seismic support vessels from Besiktas shipyard. The Thor Magnihas a long-term charter with PGS according to Thor Ltd.

    The Skipsteknisk ST-204 SSV design vessel is owned by P/F Thor, a company based in the Faroe Islands.

    Built at Besiktas in Turkey, the vessel is 64.4 m (211 ft) long and 14.5 m (47.6 ft) wide. According to Skipsteknisk, a Norway-based ship designer, the ST-204 SSV-design vessel can accommodate a crew of 60.
